The Blythe Liggins Two Castles Run is a running event at the heart of the Warwickshire community. Organisers were looking for a wholesome highlights video to encapsulate the main values of the newly rebranded race:

Small details such as people stood with hoses at the front of their houses, children giving out sweets and an ensemble of pets were all a pleasure to capture along the route.

The 10K route through the towns of Warwick and Kenilworth is bookended by Warwick Castle (start) and Kenilworth Castle (end). To show the scale of the event, both sites required drone footage which, quite literally, elevated the film. I've always used high-end drones to capture aerial photos and video as they offer unparalleled stabilisation and the ability to utilise cinematic panning camera moves to control the flow and pace of the shot (and wider video).

On the ground, 4 of us captured the event using high-end cameras such as the Canon R5C and Sony FX3 mounted on DJI Ronin RS3 gimbals. Similarly to the drone, these setups allow for smooth, cinematic camera movements.
